    VETERANS SUPPORTIVE SERVICES: Provides comprehensive services from housing to counseling, career education and case management.

    - HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM: Offers temporary assistance to at-risk, low-income families in an effort to keep them from becoming homeless. Provides legal counseling and financial aid for rent, utilities, moving costs, childcare and bus transportation, employment assistance and benefits counseling. Participants in the program can also receive assistance in obtaining Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits covering such things as health care and disability payments. Contact Shaniqua Harding, Program Manager, at 202-738-7040 or email

    - COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Veterans living in the community are given access to supportive services such as rental assistance case management, job assistance and access to therapeutic and support groups on-site. Contact Trayce Williams, Program Manager at 202-441-0478 or email

    - PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING: Provides on-site supportive housing. Services can include rental assistance, sobriety support, individual and group counseling, peer support, and job assistance for veterans who have a financial need, who are seniors or have a medically-certified disability.     - INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS: The Social Independent Living Skills program (SILS) is open to Veterans who are either disabled or seniors, or both. Provides one-on-one case management and access to educational and therapeutic groups. Offers guidance on a wide variety of subjects, including money management, maintenance of physical and mental health, developing problem-solving skills and cultivating social skills and healthy recreation options.
