OVERVIEW: Provides several programs that encourage family involvement and success. Families are usually dual-enrolled in services and housing is provided for those that meet income eligibility requirements. Also offers several community meeting spaces available for rent.
SERVICES:
1) FAMILY LEADERSHIP ACADEMY: Life skills educational curriculum for single mothers and their children. On-campus housing can be provided for those families enrolled in the program.
2) CROSSWAY MONTESSORI PROGRAMS: Offers Montessori school for children 3 months to 6 years old.
3) PARENTING INSTRUCTION: Offers parenting classes and support seminars, financial literacy, career, health & safety classes for parents.
4) THE INTERGENERATIONAL LEARNING CENTER: Applies Montessori philosophy via a “prepared environment” for adult learning and engagement. Offers ESOL and GED classes for parents enrolled in the program.
5) NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNITY CENTER: Offers neighborhood cultural and arts activities and meeting rooms for community events. To schedule an event or check the availability of facilities contact Hannah Sloss at hsloss@crossway-community.org.
