    OVERVIEW: Promotes the general welfare of persons who are deaf or hearing impaired. Provides a mechanism for people with hearing impairments to advocate for the improvement of existing services and the creation of new ones.
    1) INTERPRETER REFERRAL SERVICE: Interpreters are available in service area counties. Interpreters may be available for other areas. Interpreters are on call 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, and are available to interpret at most events or appointments.

    2) TRAINING: Training is provided on the following topics: use of TTY's and other specialized equipment; ADA compliance; deaf awareness; and how to use an interpreter.

    3) SIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES: ASL classes available for adults and children.

    4) AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT: Coordinates with other organizations to provide deaf or hard of hearing persons with auxiliary equipment.
