    LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY: Enforces the laws established by the Maryland General Assembly and upheld by the courts. Responsible for prosecuting all matters occurring within the county and represents its residents in which the state has an interest.
    -Victims & Witnesses: Ensures that both are kept informed of the status of their cases. Also meets with victims of crime, 

    -Bad Check Program: Offers assistance to local merchants and citizens who receive worthless checks. The goal is to obtain full restitution for the victim without adding to the financial burden of the criminal justice system.

    -Diversion Program: Provides first time offenders of non-violent misdemeanor offenses counseling and training thru available courses. Also offers courses for traffic safety, anger management, substance abuse, shoplifting and underage drinking. 

    -DUI Education Program: Provides education to first time DUI offenders of the dangerous consequences of drinking while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
