    CORONAVIRUS UPDATES: Enforces the Governor's declarations about closing non-essential businesses, no large gatherings, and other issues. Concerned citizens can call the non-emergency line to report a concern.

    LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY: Assures the safety and general welfare of the public by preventing and detecting crime, apprehending criminals, enforcing laws, and protecting lives and property.

    -Community Services Section: Offers community crime prevention programs. Organizes neighborhood watch programs to involve residents in maintaining the safety of their community. Provides home and commercial security surveys. Provides a child fingerprinting service to aid in the recovery of missing children. Gives crime prevention talks to groups.

    -Crime Solvers: Provides a citizen-led program, which offers rewards to persons who provide information leading to the arrest and indictment of persons who commit serious crimes. Information can be provided anonymously through a hotline or Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland.

    -Gang Education: Provides education and training towards school-aged children on gang prevention and awareness. 

    -Drug Awareness: Provides an alcohol and drug prevention program for teens.

    -Victim Witness Assistance: Meets the crisis needs of victimized individuals and families through a network of community-based services. 

    -Explorer's Program: Provides this program to introduce children to the job of a police officer.

    -Complaints: Accepts complaints against a police officer at any police location. Individuals can also make a complaint to the Internal Affairs Section in person, by mail or by email.
